A 3½" gauge Fowler 4P, 2-6-4 Tank Locomotive, LMS maroon lined yellow and black with 2305 to bunker sides. Coal fired, twin cylinders, copper boiler with pressure gauge to 150, regulator, screw reverser, sight glass with blow down valve. The bunker has water tank with hand feed & space for coal. The cab roof is removable, as is the centre part of the cab rear to aid driving. Twin oil reservoirs, (these are dry) to front running plates, (one clip on cover is missing) and axel driven pump. The firebox and grate are clean, as are the smokebox interior and tubes, showing no signs of use, so despite outward appearances the loco has probably not been used. Usual equipment and adornments throughout the model, sprung buffers, drop link couplings, tank top oil boxes, brake gear, (non-operational) etc. A substantial and very well engineered model in lovely condition, length 36". The loco is accompanied by three LMS maroon coaches of wooden construction, each length 45". (4) £3000-4500 |
