A smokebox numberplate, 30327, from a London & South Western Railway 700 Class 0-6-0 No 709 built by Dubs & Co, Works No 3532, in June 1897 and renumbered 327 between June and August 1898. Allocated to Guildford by January 1948 and later Salisbury and Exmouth Junction from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 27 May 1961 and cut up at Eastleigh Works on 22 June 1961. The front repainted, the BR(S) Eastleigh triangle cast on the back; weld repairs to the rear, not really visible from the front. £400-600 |
