A worksplate PECKETT, 2042, 1943, from a standard gauge 0-4-0ST new to the Royal Ordance Factory at Aycliffe, County Durham as No 8. Originally oil-fired but later converted to coal. Sold with the factory to North Eastern Trading Estates in October 1945, the site being converted to a trading estate. In July 1946 it moved to the company’s Team Valley Trading Estate, Gateshead where it remained until scrapped in January 1964. Engraved brass, 15"x8½", the front lightly polished. £300-400 |
