| Lot 25 | A nameplate, LORD KITCHENER, from a standard gauge 0-6-0ST built by Kitson, Works No 5158, in 1915, which went new to Walsall Wood Colliery Co Ltd, Walsall Wood Colliery, Staffordshire, as their number 5. Became National Coal Board property on 1 January 1947. It was repaired at Cannock Chase Central Workshops in 1951 and had a further protracted overhaul there between 1959 and 1963. Scrapped on site at Walsall Wood in April 1965 by L. Wallace. Cast brass, length 33¼", the front cleaned but unpainted. £600-900 |
