A live steam model, 2½" gauge, North Eastern Railway, Worsdell S1 Class 4-6-0 locomotive and tender, later LNER B14. Twin cylinder, coal fired, with sight glass & blow down, pressure gauge, regulator, screw reverser and steam whistle. The once ventilated ashpan has had the bottom plate knocked out and is rough edged. Connecting rods, eccentrics, linkages and running gear all look clean and undamaged. North Eastern green lined black/white, white cab roof with sliding centre section and No.2005 on cabside numberplates, red underframe, sprung buffers and drop link coupling. Main oil reservoir is open type with access under the front curved section of running plate, (so please do not invert the loco). Six wheeled coal rail tender with central coal space, water tank, connecting tubes & hand operated water pump, (pump currently seized and missing the extension handle), sprung buffers & drop link coupling. Loco has not had a lot of use in the past and there is no boiler history or certificate, condition of the boiler is unknown. An fine model in excellent condition. £800-1200 |
