| Lot 101 | A South African Railways cabside numberplate, 686, from a 3ft 6ins gauge Class 19A 4-8-2 built by the Swiss Locomotive Works at Winterthur, Works No 3311, in 1929, and designed for use on some of the more lightly laid branch lines. All were withdrawn by 1977. Cast brass 20¾"x14¼", cleaned and the front repainted. £250-400 |
