| Lot 93 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 2468, from a 2301 Dean Goods Class 0-6-0 built at Swindon in February 1896. It spent all its BR days alternating between Brecon and Oswestry. Withdrawn from Brecon on 12 January 1953, it was cut up at Swindon Works in the four weeks ending 18 April 1953. Cast brass, the front repainted, the beading stamped with the usual engine and boiler details. £1500-2000 |
