Auction Catalogue: Great Central Railwayana, 2 December 2017
Lot 345 |
A LMS Hawkseye target sign, WAENAVON, from the Brynmawr to Abersychan branch in the Eastern Welsh Valleys. Passenger services were withdrawn in 1941 and the section of line closed to freight in 1954, a surprising survivor. Cast aluminium, length 48", partly restored. The name on the back is that of the person who probably obtained the sign originally, not that of the later owner. £400-600 |
| This lot sold for £980 to commission or postal bidder number 8634. |
Please note: the invoice will be posted to the winning commission or postal bidder, along with collection/delivery options, on the Tuesday following the sale. The winning bidder is asked to please await delivery of the invoice before contacting Great Central Railwayana.
