| Lot 83 | A smokebox numberplate, 42827, from a LMS Class 4 2-6-0 No 13127 built at Horwich in 1929, renumbered 2827 in 1934, becoming BR 42827. Allocated to Nottingham by January 1935 and later Spital Bridge, Royston, Saltley for many years and finally Birkenhead from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 21 August 1965 and despatched for scrap to Birds Commercial Motors at Morriston on 9 December 1965. The front repainted. £300-500 |
