A worksplate BRUSH SULZER 509, 1964, from D1738, later 47145. New to Cardiff Canton in May 1964. Unofficially named JOSTINOT at Tinsley in September 1989; later named MERDDIN EMRYS in May 1990 and renamed MYRRDDIN EMRYS in 2004. One of two Tinsley celebrity locos it was withdrawn in March 2001 then owned at various times by Fragonset, Freightliner, DRS and HNRS before being cut up by TJ Thompson at Stockton in August 2009. Cast aluminium, 9½"x5½", in ex loco condition. £250-400 |
