An early 20th century 10", North Eastern Railway, German, mahogany roundhead fusee clock used at Hull. Overall height: 13¼", in good, complete original condition, but dirty. Used in the PW Yard Office of the District Engineer, Hull. Chain fusee Winterhalder & Hoffmeier movement. Red printed NER instruction label pasted inside side door. Untouched original dial written N.E.R. 648 (which became LNER 4557, never applied to the actual clock, not unusual). Spun brass bezel with plastered sight ring. Complete with pendulum, winding key and copies of entries in LNER records. £500-700 |
