A worksplate, L.N.E.R, 67648, DONCASTER, 1935, from a LNER V1 Class 2-6-2T No 418 built at Doncaster, Works No 1824, in December 1935, renumbered 7648 in 1946, becoming BR 67648. It was re-boilered and re-classified as V3 Class in November 1959. A long time Parkhead engine, it had brief periods in its final months at Ardrossan, Kipps and Hurlford from where it was withdrawn on 25 January 1962 and cut up at Darlington Works. Cast brass, 9"x5", cleaned but unpainted. £150-300 |
