| Lot 300 | A worksplate, (GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY), DONCASTER, 1388, 1913, from a GNR Class J22 0-6-0 No 553 built in June 1913, becoming LNER J6 Class No 3553, renumbered 4202 in 1946, BR 64202. A long time Colwick engine, it was withdrawn from there on 25 September 1958 and cut up at Doncaster Works. Engraved brass, 12¼"x7½", the company name filled but visible, the back marked with the original loco numbers. £350-500 |
