| Lot 294 | A South African Railways cabside numberplate, 1284, 1, from a 3ft 6 ins gauge Natal Government Railways Class B 4-6-0 No 314 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 16409, in 1904 for both passenger and goods traffic. It became SAR Class 1 No 1284 in 1912 and all were withdrawn by 1975. Cast brass, 20¾"x14½", the front cleaned but unpainted, a hairline crack top right. £300-500 |
