| Lot 265 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 7779, from a 5700 Class 0-6-0PT built by Armstrong Whitworth, Works No 1135, in November 1930. Allocated to St Philips Marsh by January 1948 and later Barry, Cardiff Cathays and Radyr from where it was withdrawn on 5 October 1958 and sold to the London Transport Executive, becoming their No L93 until withdrawn for a second time in 1968 and subsequently scrapped. Cast brass, the front repainted. £300-500 |
