A mid-20th century BR (S) 8" oak-cased roundhead clock used at Woking. Overall height: 11¼". Case of typical late, all-solids construction. Dial written with standard BR(S) / Walker details but with some damage and writing including the clock number rubbed off. Rear of dial marked BR(S) 11598, (the clock’s number). Spun brass bezel with clip-in sight ring. Wire fusee movement between rectangular plates, rear plate stamped 24526 Made in England. Records show it was supplied by Stockall & Marples in 1958 and used in Woking Yard. Complete with pendulum, winder and copy of BR(S) record. £500-800 |
