A worksplate, NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE Co, 25125, 1943, from a War Department Austerity 2-8-0 built in November 1943 to Ministry of Supply order, WD No 7254, later 77254. Loaned new to the LNER, it was returned to the WD in January 1945, loaned again in November 1946 and purchased by the LNER in February 1947, LNER O7 Class No 3030, becoming BR 63030 in 1948 and 90030 two years later. Allocated to Tweedmouth by January 1948 and later Hull Dairycoates, York North and Goole from where it was withdrawn on 17 April 1967 and cut up by Drapers at Hull during the week ending 12 August 1967. Cast white brass, 13½" x 5½" in ex loco condition. £250-400 |
