| Lot 191 | An industrial locomotive nameplate, PAULINE, from a standard gauge 0-4-0ST built by Hawthorn Leslie, Works No 2941, in 1912 and which went new to Bell Bros Ltd at Parson Byers Quarry, Stanhope where it spent all its working life. The Quarry was taken over by Dorman Long & Co Ltd in May 1923 and this loco remained there until withdrawal, although its disposal details are unrecorded. Cast brass, length 31", cleaned but unpainted. £600-900 |
