A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 65751, GATESHEAD, 1905, from a North Eastern Railway Class P2, LNER J26 Class, 0-6-0 No 1670 built at Gateshead in April 1905, renumbered 5751 in 1946, becoming BR 65751. A long time Newport engine, it moved to the new Thornaby shed in June 1958 when Newport closed. Withdrawn from Thornaby on 8 January 1962, it was cut up at Darlington Works. Cast brass 9"x5", in ex loco condition. £150-300 |
