| Lot 166 | A worksplate, AVONSIDE, 1763, 1917, from a standard gauge 0-6-0ST new to the Royal Engineers, Purfleet, Essex as No 33 MILDRED. By June 1920 it had been sold to John Wainwright & Co. Ltd, Vobster Quarry, Mells Road, Somerset. It was taken over with the quarry by Roads Reconstruction Ltd in January 1934 and latterly carried the number 385. Scrapped in February 1959. Cast brass, 10¾"x6½", in ex loco condition. £250-400 |
