A worksplate, SENTINEL-CAMMELL, 7810, from a shaft-drive steam railcar for the LNER, delivered new in October 1929 and numbered 311. Named QUICKSILVER after an old stage coach that ran in LNER territory. Renumbered 31071 in October 1931. Spent its whole life in the Scottish Area, initially at Stirling, with spells at both Eastfield and St. Margarets. Withdrawn from Stirling on 3rd October 1947. Cast brass, 5"x9¾", the front lightly polished. £300-500 |
