A worksplate, VULCAN FOUNDRY, 5538, 1947, from a LNER B1 Class 4-6-0 No 1180 built in June 1947, becoming BR 61180. Allocated new to Eastfield where it remained until moving in June 1955 to Dundee Tay Bridge from where it was withdrawn on 1 May 1967 and sold for scrap to Motherwell Machinery & Scrap at Wishaw on 12 August 1967. Cast brass, 9"x5¼", lightly cleaned but unpainted. £150-300 |
