| Lot 152 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 5206, from a 4200 Class 2-8-0T built at Swindon in June 1923. Allocated to Ebbw Junction by January 1948, it was transferred in 1955 to Aberbeeg where it spent most of its BR days before moving towards the end to St Philips Marsh, Cardiff East Dock, Pontypool Road and finally back to Ebbw Junction from where it was withdrawn on 7 May 1965 and sold for the scrap the following 16 June to Birds Commercial Motors at Bynea. Cast iron, in ex loco condition. £300-500 |
