| Lot 143 | A (GWR) cabside numberplate, 8483, from a 9400 Class 0-6-0PT built in May 1952 by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns, Works No 7453, as sub-contractors for Hudswell Clarke & Co Ltd who also allotted their own Works No 1830. Allocated new to Danygraig on 23 May 1952, it moved four years later to Swansea East Dock from where it was withdrawn on 13 February 1952 after a working life of less than ten years and sold for scrap to Cashmores at Newport on 22 May 1962. Cast brass, the front repainted. £300-500 |
