A worksplate, YORKSHIRE ENGINE CO, 2800, 1962, from a standard gauge Janus type 0-6-0DE new to GKN Steel Co Ltd at Brymbo Colliery Ironworks & Steelworks at Wrexham where it spent all its working life. The owners became part of British Steel Corporation (Holdings) Ltd in July 1967, then became part of Guest Keen & Nettlefolds Ltd trading as Brymbo Steelworks Ltd in March 1986 and were taken over by United Engineering Steels Ltd the following month. This loco was sold to Booth Roe Metals Ltd at Rotherham in 1992, some time after 11 January. Cast brass, 11"x6", the front repainted. £100-200 |
