A GWR 4½" early 20th century composite French brass drum clock. Overall height 4¾" excluding handle and feet. The brass case stamped 4843, the lid 3529 and the movement 4845. 8 day spring driven movement with platform escapement and stamped with a lion indicating the makers Duverdrey & Bloquel. Moon hands. The vitreous enamel dial written G.W.R. Kay & Co. Paris, indicating its origin, Kays were based in Worcester. Complete with combined winder/hand setter. £100-200 |
