An industrial locomotive nameplate, ANSON, with its matching worksplate, PECKETT, No 2117, 1950, from a 0-4-0ST which went new to Albert E. Reed & Co Ltd at Aylesford Paper Mills, New Hythe, Kent. It spent a brief period on loan to Imperial Paper Mills Ltd at Gravesend in 1966, returning to Aylesford, and was scrapped in about 1971. The nameplate, cast brass 24½" long, the front repainted, the worksplate, engraved brass, 15"x8½", the face lightly polished. (2) £500-800 |
