| Lot 53 | A smokebox numberplate, 5553, from a GWR 4500 Class 2-6-2T built at Swindon in November 1928. Allocated to Bristol Bath Road by January 1948, it moved in November 1958 to Machynlleth and two years later to St Blazey from where it was withdrawn on 16 November 1961 and sold for scrap to Woodham Bros at Barry on 9 February 1962. Ex loco condition. £250-400 |
