| Lot 459 | A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 63439, ARMSTRONG WHITWORTH, 1920, from a North Eastern Railway Class T2, LNER Q6 Class, 0-6-0 No 2282 built by Armstrong Whitworth, Works No 30, in June 1920, renumbered 3439 in 1946, becoming BR 63439. A long time Consett engine, it was withdrawn from there on 7 April 1964 and sold for scrap to Arnott Young at Fighting Cocks. Cast brass, 9"x5", cleaned and the front repainted. £300-500 |
