An industrial locomotive nameplate, LIVERPOOL, together with its matching worksplate, HUDSWELL CLARKE, 1081, 1914, and BR registration plate, RAILWAY EXECUTIVE, No 71, 1952, from a standard gauge 0-4-0ST new to Rowland Owen & Sons, Haulage Contractors, at Seacombe, Cheshire. In 1945 it went to Joseph Perrin & Son Ltd, Haulage Contractors of Birkenhead and in January 1964 to Robert Smith & Sons of Cathcart Street, Birkenhead for scrap; they scrapped it the following May. Cast brass, the nameplate 28½" long, the works plate 13"x8¼", the registration plate, cast iron 12"x6", all ex loco condition. (3) £1000-1500 |
