Lot 375 A smokebox numberplate, 6823, from a GWR 6800 Grange Class 4-6-0, OAKLEY GRANGE, built at Swindon in January 1937 and named after the manor house in the Belle Vue area of Shrewsbury, now converted into flats. Allocated to Goodwick by January 1948, its later sheds included Stourbridge, Chester, Banbury, Laira and Oxley from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 26 June 1965 and sold for scrap to Birds Commercial Motors at Long Marston on 18 August 1965. The front repainted. £800-1000
