A worksplate, NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE Co, 25828, 1946, from a LNER B1 Class 4-6-0 No 1072 built in September 1946, becoming BR 61072. Allocated to Haymarket by January 1948 and later Dunfermline, Aberdeen Ferryhill and Dundee Tay Bridge from where it was withdrawn on 1 May 1967 and despatched for scrap to Motherwell Machinery & Scrap at Wishaw on 19 August 1967. Cast white brass, 13½"x5½", the front repainted. £150-300 |
