| Lot 284 | A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 5323, COWLAIRS WORKS, 1900, from a North British Railway Class C 0-6-0 No 771 built in January 1900 which became LNER J36 Class No 9771 and was renumbered 5323 in 1946, becoming BR 65323. A long time Dunfermline engine, it was withdrawn from there on 28 December 1963 and sold for scrap to Arnott Young at Old Kilpatrick. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front lightly cleaned but unpainted. £250-400 |
