A worksplate, LB&SCR, BRIGHTON, 91, 1912, from a London Brighton & South Coast Railway I3 Class 4-4-2T No 91 which emerged from Brighton Works in June 1913. It became SR 2091 and BR 32091. Allocated new to Brighton, it was at Eastbourne by January 1948 and later Three Bridges and back to Brighton from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 10 May 1952. It was cut up at Ashford Works on 13 February 1953, the last of the Class to go with the highest recorded mileage. Cast brass with engraved characters, 16"x9¾", in ex loco condition. £700-1000 |
