A worksplate, BEYER PEACOCK, 1891, from a 5ft 6ins gauge 0-6-2 condensing tank supplied by Beyer Peacock, Works No 3123, to the Royal Portuguese Railway, their No 013. It was rebuilt as a 2-6-2T some time between 1923 and 1930 and became Portuguese State Railway No 032 in 1952. Two of the Class are preserved, the remainder, including this one, were scrapped between 1960 and 1975. Cast brass, 17"x8", the front repainted, the back marked 032. £500-700 |
