| Lot 180 | A worksplate, ARMSTRONG WHITWORTH, 1204, 1935, from a LMS Class 5 4-6-0 No 5163 which became BR 45163. Allocated new on loan to Crewe North on 29 July 1935, its first permanent shed was Perth the following October where it remained until 1950, moving to Corkerhill, and in 1952 to Carlisle Kingmoor from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 15 May 1965 and despatched for scrap to Woodham Bros at Barry on 25 November 1965. Cast brass, 8¼"x5", in ex loco condition. £150-300 |
