A smokebox numberplate, 47260, from a LMS Class 3F 0-6-0T No 7100, the first of the Class built by Vulcan Foundry, Works No 3717, in 1924, renumbered 7260 in 1934, becoming BR 47260. Allocated to Kentish Town by January 1935 and later St Albans and Cricklewood before returning in February 1941 to Kentish Town from where it was withdrawn on 25 June 1960 and cut up at Derby Works. Ex loco condition. £300-500 |
