| Lot 484 | A worksplate, JOHN FOWLER, 17684, cast brass, 12"x8", the front repainted. We have been reliably informed that this is actually a tender plate from a 2ft gauge 0-4-2 tender engine, Works No 17683, supplied by Fowler in November 1927 to Queensland Machinery Co for Racecourse Central Sugar Co in Tasmania. When Fowler supplied tender locos the tenders received separate works numbers to the locos and the tender supplied with this loco received the next works number. £100-200 |
