A worksplate, NASMYTH WILSON, 1425, 1924, from a 5ft 3ins gauge 4-4-2T built for the Great Northern Railway of Ireland, their Class T2 No 115. It was converted to oil burning in 1946 but reverted to coal in 1948. It was taken over by the Great Northern Railway Board in 1953 and became part of CIE (Coras Iompair Eireann) stock in 1958, before being withdrawn the following year. Cast brass, 14"x5½", lightly cleaned but unpainted. Loss to right lug surrounding bolt hole. £450-700 |
