A nameplate, CONDOVER HALL, from the GWR 4900 Hall Class 4-6-0 No 4915 built at Swindon in February 1929 and named after the building four miles south of Shrewsbury, now a school for the blind, where the other nameplate resides. Allocated to Carmarthen by January 1948, its later sheds included Shrewsbury, Didcot and Reading from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 23 February 1963 and cut up at Swindon Works in the week ending 11 May 1963. £5000-6000 |
