A GWR early 20th century 12" mahogany drop case clock of standard GWR style. Overall height: 28", the case stripped and re-finished. Box with incurved base containing door, the lock replaced by the normal GWR spring loaded ball latch and two side doors. Ivorine plate marked G.W.R. 2984 screwed to left side of box. Four piece convex moulded dial surround containing a replaced clip-in, spun brass bezel. Dial repainted and written G.W.R. Kay & Co. Makers. Chain fusee movement between plain rectangular plates. Complete with pendulum and winder. £1200-1500 |
