A worksplate, NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE Co, HYDE PARK, 20628, 1914, from a Standard Gauge New South Wales Government Railways Class D50 2-8-0 which was initially classified T and numbered 1294 and later became D50 No 5267. This large Class of 280 engines were built between 1896 and 1916, 84 of them by North British. No 5267 was withdrawn in July 1962 and condemned the following May. Four of the Class have been preserved. Cast brass, 7¾" diameter, the front lightly cleaned. £200-350 |
