A locomotive headboard, THE MID-DAY SCOT, as used from Summer 1951 on the Euston to Glasgow Central express. The title was introduced by the LMS in 1927 but withdrawn during the war years and not reinstated until 1949. It last ran in June 1965. Cast aluminium, 33¼"x15¾", repainted, though plenty of the usual service knocks. £1500-2000 |
