A smokebox numberplate, 6850, from the GWR 6800 Grange Class 4-6-0, CLEEVE GRANGE, built at Swindon in October 1937 and named after the house at Bishop's Cleeve near Cheltenham now known simply as The Grange and used as offices. Allocated to St Philips Marsh by January 1948, its later sheds included Swindon, Laira, Ebbw Junction, Pontypool Road and Severn Tunnel Junction from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 12 December 1964 and taken for scrap by Cashmores at Newport on 10 March 1965.
