A smokebox numberplate, 32565, from a London Brighton & South Coast Railway E4 Class 0-6-2T No 565 built at Brighton in May 1902 and named LITTLETON after a village in the Company's territory, although the name was removed before the end of 1910. It retained its LBSCR number in SR days but was later renumbered 2565 and became BR 32565. It spent all its BR days at Bricklayers Arms from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 1 July 1961 and cut up at Ashford Works by the following 5 August. In ex loco condition; a weld repair between the numbers 2 and 5. £500-800 |
