A GWR cabside numberplate, 2930, from the 2900 Saint Class 4-6-0, SAINT VINCENT, built at Swindon in September 1907 and named when built, probably after the Spanish martyr Vincent of Saragossa. Allocated by January 1948 to Chester GW from where it was withdrawn on 31 October 1949 and cut up at Swindon Works in the four weeks ending 3 December 1949. Cast brass, the front repainted. £1500-2000 |
