A works plate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 4852, DARLINGTON, 1934, from a LNER J39 Class 0-6-0 No 1472 built at Darlington in March 1934, renumbered 4852 in 1946, becoming BR 64852. Allocated to Blaydon by January 1948 and later Gateshead and Heaton from where it was withdrawn on 3 December 1962 and cut up at Darlington Works. Cast brass, 9"x5", cleaned but unpainted. £250-400 |
