| Lot 216 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 7249, from a 7200 Class 2-8-2T rebuilt at Swindon in November 1938 with increased coal capacity from 4200 Class 2-8-0T No 4209 built in February 1912. At Ebbw Junction by 1948, its later sheds included Duffryn Yard, Severn Tunnel Junction and Llanelly from where it was withdrawn on 16 June 1965 and sold for scrap to Steel Supply (Western) at Swansea on 28 July 1965. Cast iron, in ex loco condition. £300-500 |
