A worksplate, NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE Co, HYDE PARK, 24131, 1934, from a LMS Jubilee Class 6P 4-6-0 No 5573, named NEWFOUNDLAND on 10 February 1936, becoming BR 45573. Allocated new to Crewe North on 8 September 1934 and later Carlisle Upperby, Camden, Willesden, Trafford Park and Millhouses, moving in April 1946 to Holbeck where it remained until withdrawal on 1 September 1965. It was sold for scrap to Clayton Davie at Gateshead. Engraved brass, 6½" diameter, damage to the left side. £400-600 |
