A worksplate, HAWTHORN LESLIE, 3169, 1916, from a standard gauge 0-4-0ST new to W. Bell & Co Chemical Works, Port Clarence, County Durham, as their No 9. Taken over by Dorman Long Ltd on 2 May 1923 and transferred in April 1932 to Dorman Long's Acklam Steelworks, Middlesbrough. Renumbered 14 and later still 18. Scrapped in June 1961. Cast brass, 13"x8½", the front cleaned but unpainted. £150-250 |
